The 20th edition of the High Security Printing™ (HSP) Asia conference in Bangkok, Thailand (2-4 December 2024), marked an important milestone in advancing the region’s security printing industry.

The annual Regional Banknote and ID Document of the Year Awards, a highlight of the High Security Printing ™ Asia Conference, took place in Bangkok, Thailand on 3 December. This prestigious event brought together industry leaders to celebrate exceptional achievements in design, security, and technological innovation across identity systems and banknotes.

Since 2019, the Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) conference is where cutting-edge research is revealed, debated, and refined, making it the must-attend event for those shaping the future of security in both physical and digital documents.

Reconnaissance, the High Security Printing™ (HSP) conference organiser, has announced that registration is now open for the upcoming HSP Asia event, scheduled for 2-4 December 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.

ID authorities and providers didn’t have much time to rest following the successful High Security Printing™ Latin America conference in Santiago, Chile, in early June. A few weeks later, many of those present in Chile re-convened at the XXI CLARCIEV (Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Council of Civil Registry, Identities and Vital Statistics) in São Paulo, Brazil.

The 2024 High Security Printing™ (HSP) Latin America conference took place for the second time in its 12-year history in Chile, a country renowned for its contrasting landscapes, ranging from the world’s driest desert to ancient, unexplored glaciers.

In May 2024, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ID4Africa, the premier global gathering for the Identity for Development (ID4D) movement, celebrated its 10th anniversary in Cape Town, South Africa.

By his own admission, Renaud Laffont-Leenhardt, Product Line Director for Travel Documents at Thales, will have long retired by 2044, but that didn’t stop him from presenting a compelling vision for travel documents at the recent ODDS conference.

Registration is now closed for this year’s High Security Printing™ (HSP) Latin America conference, which will take place in Santiago, Chile, from 3-5 June. As with previous HSP conferences, Reconnaissance has had to close registration weeks ahead of the event due to its popularity.

The Optical & Digital Document Security™ (ODDS) conference series has established itself as the only technical conference for advances in the crossover between physical, digital, and virtual document security. ODDS has been the launchpad for numerous new techniques that go on to achieve commercial success in the ID and secure document industry.
